10 weeks & Counting
Today marks 10 weeks since our slab was poured. Halfway to the promised 20 weeks build time and work is slow.
Last week things looked promising with the roof going on and the brickies finally starting. With school holidays now upon us we aren't doing our usual twice daily visits before & after school so it was with much anticipation that we drove to the block last night only to find that the site hasn't been touched all week.
I am feeling less & less confident that we will have handover by christmas.
In other news our current house is now under contract so we have to be out of here by Nov 11, meaning at least a 6 week stay with mum (Ashlee thinks all her wishes have finally come true!). On the upside we can now start organising floor coverings & aircond etc.. which is fantastic.
The nice weather appears to be here to stay for now with temperatures expected to hit mid 20's by the weekend so here's hoping they can get cracking on the house.
